Following The Water Through Antroni
Shade, moss, stone and a dog that understood the plan immediately.
Antroni gave us a route through shade, moss and shallow water at the end of July. In Greece, shade at that time of year is a structural feature.
The path kept crossing the stream and folding beneath old trees. My dog moved between the group, the water and every interesting smell with much greater confidence than the humans.
These places reward a simple kind of attention. Watch the footing. Listen for water. Notice when the light changes. Keep moving until the next pool appears.
The dog had no philosophical framework for returning to nature. He simply looked correct in it.
Antroni gave the day one sensible instruction: keep following the water. Nemouta was waiting further along.
